Woodson County Sheep Auction

The Woodson County Sheep Auction will  continue with the SEK Sheep and Goat Buying Station for the June sale due to COVID-19.  It will still be held at the same location.  Please note new time for June 2nd sale:  8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

There will only be one buyer present, but he will have bids from at least 3 or 4 of our normal "major" buyers.  The Buying Station has been a great alternate market for sheep and goats.   Dale Lanham feels very confident that this alternative market will be very competitive to other sheep and goat markets in our area.

The only sale expense will be the sheep checkoffs with no commission, yardage, insurance, etc. expenses deducted from your check that will be given to you on sale day.  Animals will be unloaded and go to the scales, so there will be less shrinkage also.

We look forward to continuing to serve the sheep and goat producers and are hopeful this temporary alternative market can serve your marketing needs.  Please call Dale Lanham, 620-496-7933, if you plan on bringing animals to the June sale and you didn't bring animals to the sale in April or May.  There will be several requirements in place to keep you and the buyer safe in these very difficult times.
