Parent Empowerment Circle
The Parent Empowerment Circle in Fort Scott, Kansas, is a monthly support group designed for parents of children with behavioral or physical differences. It offers a welcoming space for parents to connect, share experiences, and access resources.

- Time: 1:30 P.M. - 3:30 P.M.
- Location: First Southern Baptist CHurch Family Life Center, 1818 S. Main Street, Fort Scott, KS
- Children: Welcome to attend with parents

Purpose and Offerings
The circle aims to reduce isolation and provide empowerment through:
- Inspiration: Sharing stories and successes within the community
- Education: Access to expert-led workshops and tailored resources
- Connection: Building a supportive network among parents
- Empowerment: Providing tools and encouragement for thriving parenting journeys
Special workshops cover topics like advocacy strategies, understanding Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and self-care for parents. These are scheduled based on feedback from participating parents.

Sean Swindler, M.S.Ed. has been the Director of Community Program Development and Evaluation at the Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training (K-CART) at the University of Kansas. He has a Master's Degree in Special Education and has worked in the field of development disability and Autism for over 30 years.
